Detox Cleanse

This cleanse will help reset your gut and clear your mind, and it’s super simple! Just focus on eating Fruits, Vegetables, Lean Meats, and Nuts, and don’t forget to hydrate. Aim to drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day. So, if you weigh 140 pounds, that means you should be drinking about 70 ounces of water or caffeine-free drinks daily.

Before you begin:
1. Keep it simple. It's ok to eat the same thing every day, and if you want to make a pot of stew or soup, just check out my recipes tab.
2. Take time for yourself each day. Take time for deep breathing; breathe in positive thoughts, exhale any negativity. Wake up early to take this time, or take those deep positive breaths in the shower. Think of this cleanse as giving your body what it deserves; proper fuel without having to count calories or fat grams. This is not a diet. You should NOT be hungry or feel deprived. It's a reset for your body and mind.
3. Reward yourself with a good book, massage, manicure, go for a walk, phone a friend, take a warm detox bath, meditate in silence, or sit in the sun and be.

Recommended Recipes: Here's a few of my favorites: Cindy's Protein Shake, Turkey Chili. I love the Turkey Chili and tend to eat it every day on the Cleanse either for lunch or dinner; Lite Chicken and Baked Veggies make a great meal. I'll often throw my leftover veggies in a pan the next day and either scramble an egg or two or place over-easy eggs on top. Avocados replace cheese for me, as they melt on top of these warm veggies and eggs; Grilled Orange Chicken and Sweet Potato Fries; Sesame Broccoli
