Detox Cleanse
This cleanse is a great way to refresh your gut and clear your head, and it’s really easy! For four days, simply stick to eating fruits, veggies, lean meats, and nuts, and make sure to stay hydrated. Try to drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day. For example, if you weigh 140 pounds, aim for around 70 ounces of water or caffeine-free beverages daily.

Before you begin:
1. Keeping it simple is key. Eating the same meals daily is totally fine, and if you're in the mood for some stew or soup, just check out my recipes section for ideas.
2. Make sure to carve out some "me time" every day. Focus on your breathing; inhale positivity and let go of negativity. You may wish to wake up a bit earlier for this or even take those deep breaths while showering, or begin a five-minute meditation just focusing on your breath each morning. Heck, you can even do this in bed before you get up. Think of it as treating your body right with good fuel, without stressing over calories or fat. This isn’t a diet, so you shouldn’t feel hungry or deprived—it's simply a refresh for your body and mind.
3. Treat yourself to something nice, like a good book, a massage, or a manicure. Go for a walk, chat with a friend, enjoy a warm detox bath, meditate regularly, or just soak up some sun and relax.
Recommended Recipes: I've got some favorites that you can check out by clicking on the Recipes Tab above, like Cindy's Protein Shake and Turkey Chili. I'm a big fan of the Turkey Chili and usually have it daily during the Cleanse, either for lunch or dinner. Lite Chicken with Baked Veggies is another awesome meal. I often toss my leftover veggies in a pan the next day and either scramble a couple of eggs or put some over-easy eggs on top. Instead of cheese, I use avocados since they melt nicely over the warm veggies and eggs. Grilled Orange Chicken and Sweet Potato Fries, along with Sesame Broccoli, are also on my go-to list.
